Why Real Champagne Is So Expensive | So Expensive

Champagne is only true champagne if it's made in the Champagne region of northern France. All other sparkling wines made outside of this region, even those from neighboring parts of France, must be labeled differently. Champagne often costs double the price of other sparkling wines, such as prosecco or cava. A decent-quality bottle of it can cost you anywhere from $50 to $300, and vintage bottles often sell for thousands.

Wayne Campbell : Ah yes, it's a lot like "Star Trek: The Next Generation". In many ways it's superior but will never be as recognized as the original.

They also infuse it with goose blood to balance out the iron content and add more depth to the flavor.

What makes Champaign so expensive?
Answer - Rich people like wasting money.

Prasecco is less expensive and in may taste better than champagne (it depends on the individual bottle)

why do all of these videos come down to "global warming". Sounds like people just do not want to lose out on the plot of land they've had in their families for hundreds of years.

What's in a name? That which we call a Champaign by any other name would smell as sweet.

What is I tell you, my uncle is the one who makes the containers in which CHANDON 🥂 is made.

"Birthdays were the worst days, now we sip champagne when we thirsty"
-The Notorious B.I.G

Clearly they talked about the growing conditions of the region... Climate makes a big impact on your crops no matter what you grow. I don't even drink nor enjoy sparkling anything but I feel like the emphasis on "its all just a ploy of marketing" is missing a lot of why the regions become special to begin with

pretentious pricks

Thanks

Because only France is allowed to sell and export champagne. Even if it's the same grape and soil type.
France actually sued the state of California for selling california champagne.

People who tend to purchase Champagne are the cause of climate change, which might affect Champagne production. Hmm !!!

This whole thing had me until the whole “global warmer” shit came up...

I think this video is about Why champagne is so expensive?...I think I'm not sure 🤔🙄

Neal Caffery has joined the chat...

if you put a raisin in a bottle of champagne it will go up and down

I think you can insert the historical fact about champagne in the middle of the video. Because i am more interested of the champagne itself and WHY it is expensive, not google able history with slides of scenery clips.

I love all the butthurt comments on here complaining about the cost. Haha losers

Omg! From when French people started speaking English? Haha

I guess I’m lucky, I like cava better, enchicha happens to be much cheaper 😂

You are not paying for the product, you are paying for who makes the highest piss

No drunkards will go to heaven.

Simple answer: because of regulations like “region labels” and tradition. You can find awesome “champagne” on other countries all over the world.

So i've been drinking the wrong stuff for all these years.
I checked the back and it says it's made in India. Also it's a type called apple juice.

At the end they say that the enviromental conditions may harm the production of this specific sparkling wine, there is a vox video where they make the same remark about coffee in colombia
